Imagine what would happen if a metal guitarist and an opera singer got together and started making acoustic music, if they took away all the gloss and effects of modern music and created something authentic and true, if every rendition and original song were built by the heart, from the bottom up. This is Timberwood.
Heather and Greg met as music teachers in Virginia, married, then moved to Florida after the birth of their daughter. Two years later, they were asked to put together a small set to perform together at City Coffee Company in Saint Augustine. What happened was the creation of over three hours of soulful, soaring music, a combination of cover songs and originals.
Greg's thirty year journey with the guitar has taken him through metal, the blues, classical and rock music. Heather's opera and piano education led her to realize her true love of folk music and rock & roll. Together, they collaborate to build a vibrant acoustic sound, a blend of Greg's fluid and seemingly effortless guitar with Heather's striking vocals and serene keys.
